Youth Violence Symposium Print

The Youth Violence Symposium is an opportunity for people who work, volunteer, or have a professional interest in this area to make contacts, learn of different approaches, and find new ideas.

The first day focuses on research and treatment. The second day considers steps to help reduce youth violence.

This Symposium has been developed in partnership by Strengthening Families and Relationship Services. It is planned as an accessible, quality, 'no frills' community event. It will be helpful to a wide range of people including community helpers, social workers, youth workers, educators, counsellors, school staff, mental health and medical professionals, and staff from Government departments such as NZ Police, Corrections and Child, Youth and Family.

It is a 2 day event, on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd March 2010. It is held at The Orchard Centre, Te Puke (20 mintues drive from Tauranga airport).

The full brochure and information about the presenters can be downloaded from the links on the side of this page.
